Laura Richard is a Director and Filmmaker based in New York.

Laura Richard has lived, directed and produced in New York since she got her MFA at NYU for filmmaking in 2005. She excels at creating beautiful, successful videos on all types of budgets. She is known for her eye for detail, her ability to get great performances from the greenest of talent, her artistic shots and her passion towards every project. Her Rodan and Fields Make it Yours campaign won a Best Campaign award for a MLM company in 2022. Her graduate thesis film “Breached” screened at film festivals around the globe, including Telluride and Tribeca. For “Breached,” LAURA won Best Short Film at Newport, Santa Fe, River Run, and NYU’s Fusion Film Festival; the Maurice Kanbar Achievement in Directing at NYU’s Fusion Film Festival; the Wasserman Best Directing Award at NYU’s First Run Film Festival; and a CINE Golden Eagle Award for Directing excellence and for setting high standards in film and video production.

Currently, Laura Richard lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two small children.  She has several narrative feature scripts in different stages, from a dark comedy to sci-fi.  She works in LA and NY as a local.
